In most real estate brokerages, each real estate agent operates independently of, and often in competition with, their colleagues. This has been the traditional model in the real estate industry for many years.

As Joel Pearl's real estate business skyrocketed, it became clear that his clientele would be better served with “specialized” licensed professionals. Joel recognized a shift in the real estate sales industry and he realized the generalist real estate sales model did not provide the best value and service to the client.
