SUMMARY:Community Memorial Butterfly Release
DESCRIPTION:"Butterflies have been identified as being significant in many cultures. Often the transformation of a butterfly from a chrysalis is seen to represent rebirth\, comfort\, hope\, and positivity. Some cultures believe that butterflies are capable of crossing into other realms and carrying messages to those that have passed away." -- Professor Stephen Cook\, Department Head for Entomology\, Plant Pathology and Nematology at the University of Idaho.\n\nProfessor Cook is currently raising painted lady butterflies that he will release in the beautiful Share Hope Memorial Garden. Auburn Crest Hospice and NISSA are teaming up to host this free event that is open to the public. Members of our community will be able to write messages to their loved ones on dissolvable paper and take in the cathartic experience of watching the butterflies carry these messages on their journey into nature and beyond. This is a safe environment in which to grieve loss and find a glimmer of hope in your healing journey.
